Electronic signatures for lending
Lending is where the API matters. Packages go out from your origination system, not from somebody clicking around in a browser, and the evidence has to survive an audit years later. Signclad is built for that path first.
Documents teams send with Signclad
- Loan agreements and promissory notes
- Personal and corporate guarantees
- Security agreements and UCC authorizations
- Truth in Lending and closing disclosures
- Borrower authorizations and consents
- Draw request certifications
- Scope of work approvals
- Payoff and reconveyance requests
- Broker agreements
- Investor participation agreements
What matters here
- Sent from your system
- One POST with a presigned file URL creates and sends a package. Add an idempotency key and a retry after a timeout cannot double-send.
- Embedded, inside your portal
- Borrowers sign in your product, in an iframe, with your logo and colours. Lost a signing URL? Mint a new one without recreating the document.
- Prefill from your data
- Set every field by its stable id when you create the document, so the borrower sees the loan number, the property address, and the amount already filled.
- One template, many deal shapes
- Exclude the co-borrower or guarantor role and its fields come off. Compose several templates into one package where roles with the same name merge into one signer.
- Evidence that survives
- A frozen revision manifest hashed at send, a hash-chained event log, a PDF sealed with a self-issued document certificate, and a public verification page.
- Webhooks you can operate
- Health states, alerts on every transition, a delivery log with full attempt timelines, and replay when your receiver comes back up.
On identity. Signclad signatures are simple electronic signatures under ESIGN and UETA. Identity rests on possession of the email address, plus any passcode you require. Where your programme requires government-ID verification, that is available on Enterprise through Stripe Identity or Persona. Signclad does not issue qualified certificates.
