Prepare it once. Send it a thousand times.
A template holds the file, the roles, the fields, and the settings. Filling in who is signing takes seconds, whether you do it in the app, from a spreadsheet, through a public link, or from your own software.
Roles, not people
A template's recipients are placeholders — Borrower, Co-borrower, Witness — and its fields belong to those roles. When you use the template you say who fills each role, and every field follows.
- Skip a role
- Exclude a placeholder by name and its fields come off the document. One template covers the single-borrower and the co-borrower case without a second copy.
- Prefill before sending
- Set any field's value by its stable id when you create the document, so the signer sees the loan number, the address, and the start date already filled.
- Combine templates
- Compose several templates into one document. Files concatenate in order and roles with the same name merge into a single recipient, so a packet is one signature session rather than four.
- Duplicate
- Copy a whole template — fields, coordinates, rules, settings — with one call, instead of rebuilding it.
Template links
Publish a template as a public URL. Anyone who opens it fills in their own name and email and gets their own copy of the document, which arrives in your list like any other. Good for an NDA on a website, a waiver at a front desk, or a contractor agreement you hand out.
Bulk send
Upload a CSV of recipients and field values and Signclad generates one document per row and sends them all. Download the CSV template from the app or the API so the columns match your template's fields exactly.
- Validated first
- The CSV is checked before anything is sent: bad email addresses, missing required values, and unknown field ids are reported by row and column so you fix the file, not the fallout.
- Counted honestly
- One generated document is one document against your plan. A bulk send of 200 counts 200, and rows that fail before sending count nothing.
- Tracked as a batch
- The batch has its own progress, its own list of documents, and its own status, so you can see what completed and what is still out without hunting through the main list.
Replace the document, keep the fields
Legal changes a clause and the paragraph numbering shifts. Every other tool makes you redraw the fields. Signclad matches the new file against the old one and tells you exactly what moved before you commit.
- Three matching strategies: keep the same coordinates, re-find the fields by their text tags, or anchor each field to the text it sits beside and follow that text as it moves.
- Run it as a dry run first. You get a report listing every field that was kept, moved, scaled, or orphaned, and the reason for each — "anchor text moved down 27 points", "page 5 does not exist in the new file".
- Templates keep revision numbers. Committing against a stale dry run fails with a conflict rather than silently applying an old plan.
- Nothing in a sent document ever changes. Replacement applies to templates and to drafts; the revision a signer accepted is frozen forever.
Doing this through the API? The templates guide covers creating a template, filling roles, composing several into one document, template links, and replacing the file while keeping the fields.
