Questions
Which plans include API access?
Light, Business, and Enterprise include the REST API, webhooks, and the MCP server. Every plan includes the first 25 API documents each month with a card on file, with per-document pricing above that.
Do recipients need an account?
No. They open a link and sign on any device. Nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.
Which users count toward my plan?
Each owner, admin, or member counts as one user with sending access, including you, even before they send a document. For example, 3 users means you plus 2 teammates with sending access. Recipients and view-only users are free. The same user in multiple workspaces under one account counts only once.
Is a user the same as a business name?
No. Users are people with their own logins. Business names and email From names are workspace branding settings. On Business and higher, one person can send for multiple business workspaces under the same account and still count as one user with sending access.
What counts as a document?
One document is one envelope, however many files, pages, or signers it contains. It counts when you send it, never while it is a draft.
Are the signatures legally valid?
Yes. Signclad follows the U.S. ESIGN Act, UETA, and eIDAS for simple electronic signatures, and every completed document carries a sealed audit trail.
What happens if I downgrade?
Templates over the new limit become read-only. Nothing is deleted, and they come back the moment you upgrade again.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes, in either direction, from Settings then Billing. The change takes effect immediately and is prorated against what you have already paid, so the unused part of the period you bought is credited back.
Can I cancel?
Any time. Your subscription ends at the end of the period you have paid for, monthly or annual. Your documents and their audit trails stay available for download.
